The Dons played hard during the first quarter, keeping the energy level high to maintain the lead. The De Anza Dons defeated the Hartnell Panthers 62-55 in a conference game on Jan. 29. The women's basketball team had a slow start during the first quarter, accumulating seven fouls and a score of 28-24.
