Opportunities to study in Europe or China are available to De Anza and Foothill College students through the Campus Abroad Program. This spring quarter, students will study in Florence. During the summer, students can travel to Beijing and Shanghai, or to Prague. In the fall, students will visit London.

De Anza and Foothill faculty will teach in the programs, which last nine weeks during the fall winter and spring quarters, and five weeks in the summer. Students enroll in 12 units, except in the summer when they take six units. All courses are transferable to UC and CSU.

Students will live in shared apartments, hotels, university residences or with host families. They will study in and out of the classroom, sightsee and visit galleries, museums and theatres. They have an opportunity to witness famous sights including Stonehenge in London and the Great Wall in China. Students are encouraged to travel both their host country and to other countries during their free time using inexpensive flights or Euro passes.

Students who have completed 12 units and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible to join Campus Abroad. More information and photographs are available at the Campus Abroad website at http://www.foothill.edu/programs/campusabroad.html. Informational programs will be held on campus. For information about costs and to apply for one of these programs, contact Turmelle at turmelleart@fhda.edu or 650-949- 7614. Financial aid is available.
