La Voz

Thanks to Helen Zou for a good summary of the remarks made by Elissa Test on the crisis in Darfur in her Oct. 30 La Voz article. One omission from the article is that Elissa was invited to De Anza to speak to my INTL 5 Global Studies class. Elissa and I have been working since last spring to bring the issue to the campus. The students in the fall INTL 5 class are now working to set up a chapter of STAND (Students Taking Action Now on Darfur) on the De Anza campus.

People who are interested can contact me or enroll in INTL 5 for the Winter '07 quarter.
