De Anza College President Brian Murphy and Academic Senate President Lydian Hearn spoke at Wednesday's De Anza Associated Student Body Senate meeting about the campus's Strategic Planning initiatives.
"The administration, faculty, staff and students are trying to get together to have some comments and vision of what we want to achieve out of school," said Murphy.
"Last April to the end of the summer, over a hundred faculty and staff worked together to find the initiatives - four areas of the college's future that we would like to put more resources and emphasis into."
Hearn said that the four themes decided upon were "Participation", "Pathway to Succeed," Collegiality" and "Community Collaboration."

Community Collaborations - having a greater connection to the local community.
