Members of De Anza's Campus Center Advisory Board discuss construction progress and plans for the new Campus Center Monday.

What they talked about in their Nov. 20 meeting:

-The new Campus Center is still on track to open on time in fall of 2007.

-De Anza Student Scott McDonough mentioned local media coverage of the proposed "peace room" in the new

Campus Center and pitched his idea for a "World Unity" display. The display would be designed to celebrate the diversity of the De Anza campus.

-Committee discussed the possibility of replacing food in the new Campus Center vending machines with more healthy alternatives.

-A sub-committee was formed to focus on new Campus Center furniture.

- Next meeting will be on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in Admin 109.
