Newly elected senators participated in a training session at the De Anza Associated Student Body meeting last Wednesday.

Student Trustee Jordan Eldridge said that senators may not speak under the title of the DASB without approval, under the "Right to Act" clause.

Vice President of Student Services Yujin Yoshimura spoke of conflict of interest laws after he and another senator were disqualified as Inter-Club Council Representatives.

Senators were quizzed on the duties of their positions. The winners Eden Su, Dan Sealana, Yujin Yoshimura and Maereg Wassie won two movie tickets.

Vice President Rahela Sami assigned senators to committees.

DASB President Robin Claassen clarified the open positions of vice president of Administration and one junior senator. All students would be eligible for the position of VP of Administration.

Prospective junior senators would be given priority for the remaining junior senator slot.
