1000 free compact floruescent lightbulbs are being offered to students today and tomorrow between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the main quad and the Environmental Studies Kirsch Center, respectively.
The light bulbs use 75 percent less energy than incandescent light bulbs, lowering the emissions of light bulbs said Kristin Jensen Sullivan, environmental studies instructor.
Sullivan said the free light bulbs came through a partnership of PG&E and the Sierra Club.
