What happened: President Brian Murphy presented an alternative to his proposed De Anza College governing structure. In the new plan, the Distance Learning Center and library would go under the same division and be overseen by the library's dean and the vice president of instruction. A non-teaching staff development job would become a dean-level administrative position for the Student Success Center.

Why this matters: Unlike the alternative plan, the original would have caused the library to lose its dean position, the Distance Learning Center would have been grouped into a division with the Student Success Center and two associate vice principal positions would have been reclassified.
