What happened: A request by International Student Volunteers was approved for $600 for the security at a dance party which will be held on May 16. A request by Students for Justice was approved for $400 for printing of flyers for a May 1 rally. Club day awards were given out. Best Performance award went to Cheer & Dance, Disabled Students Unlimited, Eng & Tech, Hong Kong Student Association and Tae Kwon Do.
Why this matters: The clubs which won the awards will be given $100 to add to their accounts. While attendance on Club Day is a requirement for all clubs, club awards encourage clubs to be more active, which is what makes Club Day successful.
